The call to lead people to Christ goes beyond an initial introduction. As Andrew brought his brother Simon to meet Jesus (John 1:40-42), this was just the beginning. Jesus told Simon, “Follow me” (Matthew 4:19), beckoning him into a lifelong journey of discipleship. Our role is to keep leading ourselves and others to draw near to Christ continually.
– “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves” (2 Corinthians 13:5). Evaluate your walk with Jesus. Are you actively pursuing him through prayer, Scripture, and community? Our relationship with Christ is central.
– “How is it with your soul?” (3 John 1:2) Ask thoughtful questions to understand others’ spiritual state. Redirect their focus to Christ.
– “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly” (Colossians 3:16). Share how God’s word is impacting you personally. Your journey can inspire others.
– “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Point hurting people to Christ for comfort. Remind them Jesus understands suffering.
– “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Encourage bold faith in Jesus. He specializes in using weak faith!
– “Pray for one another” (James 5:16). Intercede for each other’s spiritual growth. Ask God to draw you all closer to Christ.
– “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law” (Psalm 119:18). Study Scripture together. God’s word reveals Jesus’ character for obedience.
As Paul said, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). Leading people to Christ is a lifelong process of pursuing him. Let’s commit to continuous growth and point others to knowing Jesus more deeply.
